| The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as NIA), under the recognition that non-life insurance activity is based upon trust of costumers, will have strong awareness of importance of protecting personal information, comply with laws related to personal information protection (Personal Information Protection Law) as well as rules and guidelines related to personal information protection in the financial sector, so that personal information might be handled properly. | |
1. Acquisition of Personal Information |

@NIA will acquire personal information only through legal and fair means and within the scope of necessity for processing of our business. |

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information |

@NIA will specify purposes of use of personal information
as follows, so as not to handle personal information in excess of the
scope that is needed for achieving the purpose of use: |

| 3. Safety Control Measures | |
| In order to prevent leakage or loss of, damage to,
or illegal access to personal data, NIA will assign a privacy officer and
take following
safety control measures: @ Organizational safety measures; A Human safety measures; B Physical safety measures; C Technical safety measures. When whole or part of the personal data handling is outsourced, NIA will set forth criteria for selection of outsourcing firm, and will confirm its information control system in advance, and carry out appropriate supervision of the firm after effecting the outsourcing. |

| 4. Third-party Furnishing of Personal Data | |

NIA will not furnish personal data to a third party without consent of
the principal, other than for exceptional cases as follows: @ When the law permits it; A When handling of personal information is entrusted to insurance agents and outsourcing firms within the scope of necessity of processing of the proper business; B When personal data is jointly used with other non-life insurers (See 5); C Personal data of CALI policyholder of motor cycle with engine may be provided to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (See 6); D In case we check information on agents and on passers of agent examination; E Personal information is provided with re-insurers when re-insurance is effected. |

| 5. Joint Use of Personal Data among Non-life Insurers (Exchange of information) | |
@NIA will share personal data with other non-life insurers

| 6. Use of personal information jointly with Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport | |
In order to prevent uninsured motorist of CALI
bicycles and motor cycles with engine, we provide personal information
of CALI
policyholders of bicycles and motor cycles with engine so that the Ministry
may send postcards to the policyholders whose insurance period are deemed
to expire; thus NIA and the Ministry jointly use personal information,
with the Ministry being the responsible party. The information jointly
used is as follows: |

| 7. Use of personal information jointly with The General Insurance Association of Japan | |
| In order to check information on agents and on passers of
agent examination, we provide information on agent and on passers of agent
examination for GIAJ; thus NIA and GIAJ jointly use personal information,
with GIAJ being the responsible party. The information jointly used is

| Please contact your nearest branch office or agent of NIA or reach the number you find on your policy for any inquiries about your insurance policy or insurance claims. After an inquirer is identified as the principal, we will respond thereto. | |
| 9. Request to disclose, revise, and terminate of use of personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Law | |
| Requests as above may be sent to the customer service by
email or telephone. After an inquirer is identified as the principal, we

NIA is a member company of Foreign Non-life Insurance Association of
Japan (FNLIA), a Certified Personal Information Protection Organization.
FNLIA also receives inquiries and grievances concerning personal information
protection. |

In order to strengthen protection of personal information, NIA will thoroughly carry out training for our employees, thus continuing review and improvement to keep personal information updated. |
